🎓 Eligibility Criteria
To apply for SSC CGL 2025, candidates must meet the following eligibility requirements:
Nationality
- Must be an Indian citizen or a subject of Nepal/Bhutan.
- Persons of Indian origin who have migrated from certain countries with the intention of settling permanently in India are also eligible.
Age Limit
The age criteria vary based on the post:
- 18 to 27 years – Certain Group C posts
- 20 to 30 years – Group B officer-level posts
- 18 to 30 years – Miscellaneous Group B/C posts
- 18 to 32 years – Specific positions requiring higher age
- Age relaxation applies for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen as per government rules.
🎓 Educational Qualification
- A bachelor’s degree from a recognized university is mandatory.
- For Junior Statistical Officer (JSO): 60% marks in Mathematics at the 12th standard level OR a bachelor’s degree in Statistics.
- For Statistical Investigator Grade II: Bachelor’s degree with Statistics as one of the subjects.
- For Assistant Audit Officer (AAO): Desirable qualifications include CA, CMA, CS, or a Master’s in Commerce/MBA (Finance).

Exam Pattern
The SSC CGL 2025 selection process consists of two tiers:
Tier-I Exam
- Mode: Computer-Based Test (CBT)
- Duration: 60 minutes (80 minutes for candidates eligible for scribe)
- Subjects:
- General Intelligence & Reasoning (25 questions, 50 marks)
- General Awareness (25 questions, 50 marks)
- Quantitative Aptitude (25 questions, 50 marks)
- English Comprehension (25 questions, 50 marks)
- Total Marks: 200
- Negative Marking: 0.50 marks per wrong answer.
Tier-II Exam
- Mode: Computer-Based Test (CBT)
- Sections:
- Paper 1: Compulsory for all posts
